It's seems strange to say I loved going to therapy.... but I did. Ericka has a way of almost becoming part of your family. She keeps you laughing and you forget about your injury. I hope I never need her again for therapy, but it's very comforting to know she's there if I do. Highly recommend her. JD
Everyone at the Hand to Hand Therapy office is extremely friendly and so knowledgeable in what they do! Ericka is personable and goes out of her way to make sure what therapy she is doing is helping! Ericka is genuine and there to help her patients! MD
I’ve been to 3 therapists and Ericka and her staff are by far is the best ! She goes out of her way to explain everything and make you feel comfortable and make sure you get the relief you’re expecting from the therapy you receive! I looked forward to going and every time! And most importantly, I gained a friend in Ericka! JG

Why choose us ?
"With over 28 years of specialized experience, we provide more than just rehabilitation; we provide individualized upper extremity care. Our clinic is built on the belief that every hand tells a story and every injury requires a uniquely tailored approach. Whether you are recovering from surgery or managing a chronic condition, you receive individualized treatment designed to restore your independence and get you back to the life you love."

Post Operative Care

Work related injury/Auto accident
We specialize in the complex intersection of healthcare and insurance. For 28 years, we have partnered with physicians, case managers, and employers to provide high-level UE rehabilitation that reduces 'lost time' and maximizes functional recovery. Our individualized programs don't just heal the hand; they restore the worker.
Post-Operative Rehabilitation follows specific surgical protocols that dictate exactly when movement can begin. Common post-op diagnoses include:
Tendon Repairs: (Flexor or Extensor) Requires meticulous protection to prevent the repair from rupturing while using "controlled mobilization" to prevent the tendon from scarring to the surrounding tissue.
Fracture ORIF: (Open Reduction Internal Fixation) Managing the hardware (plates/screws) while restoring motion to the wrist or fingers.
Joint Replacements: (Arthroplasty of the thumb CMC, MCP, or PIP joints) Ensuring proper alignment as the new joint stabilizes.
Nerve Decompressions/Repairs: (Carpal or Cubital Tunnel) Focused on scar management and gradual neural gliding.
Dupuytren’s Release: Critical post-op stretching and splinting to maintain the extension gained during surgery.

What can an Occupational Therapist do for you?
Hand therapy, a specialty practice area of occupational therapy, is typically concerned with treating orthopedic-based upper-extremity conditions to optimize the functional use of the hand and arm.

Hello I am Ericka
Founder & Occupational Therapist
With over 28 years of clinical experience in upper extremity and hand rehabilitation, I have dedicated my career to the intricate art and science of healing. Over 20 years ago I founded my private practice with a clear mission: to move away from "assembly line" healthcare and return to a patient-first model.
I believe that the best clinical outcomes start with a simple, often overlooked step: listening. Coming to my table is more than just treating a medical diagnosis—it’s helping you overcome a disruption to your livelihood, your hobbies, and your independence. By focusing on individualized, one-on-one treatment, every splint, exercise, and therapy session is tailored to the specific goals and concerns of the person sitting across from me.
Beyond the Clinic
When I am not helping patients regain their grip on life, you can find me near the water. I am a proud mom of two, married to my amazing husband for 22 years and we share her home with Hank, our French Bulldog who keeps the whole family entertained.

"Life is built by the work of our hands and the love of our family. My mission is to heal the hands that hold it all together, so you can get back to the people and places that fill your soul."

Can't get out to therapy, try TELEHEALTH
Although I feel face to face treatment makes the best possible experience for therapy, sometimes this is not possible. Telehealth is a valuable option to ensure you are following the prescribed exercises correctly, adding appropriate treatment activities to advance your strength and motion or to consult about non emergent conditions. It is also a great way to instruct on activity adaptions in real time. Often a simple splint, some stretching or an ergonomic assessment can decrease symptoms allowing you to perform activities pain free.
